Required: ARRT, CA CRT, BLS, ACLS, CA fluoro (upon hire) and 2+ years of IR experience
Description:
- Provides vascular interventional imaging and related non-vascular procedures and patient care services at defined levels to patients.
- Assesses and educates patients according to specific department protocols.
- Implements radiation protection and safety standards to minimize radiation exposure to staff and patients.
- Maintains mandated continuing education requirements.
- May be required to train / precept students and new techs.
- Operates a variety of complex stationary and mobile diagnostic equipment.
- Positions patients and selects anatomic and technical exposure parameters accurately.
- Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within the scope of practice and applicable state/federal regulations.
- Prepares for and assists the physician in a variety of vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures as well as other non-vascular invasive procedures which may include ultrasound and CT guided procedures.
- Demonstrated knowledge of cardiac rhythms and cardiac hemodynamics. - Highly desired
- Knowledge of a wide range of vascular, non-vascular and neuro disease processes and how they relate to patient care and imaging. - Required
- Must have a broad based knowledge of anatomy an dphysiology as well as cardiac, vascular, and neuro anatomy is required. - Required
- Must maintain a working knowledge of the latest developments in cardiac and radiographic invasive procedures and techniques. - Required- vascular interventional experience.
