What you will learn and contribute to
Nokia of America Corporation, IP/Optical Networks (ION) Customer Technical Support Engineer (Multiple Positions), Dallas, TX. Act as senior subject matter expert for Technical Support services with the IP/Optical Networks (ION) business group. Install and maintain telecommunications data networks (LAN, WLAN, MAN, WAN, SDN for Data Centers and SDWAN). Troubleshoot network outages, and assist with outage restoration. Act as single point of contact for the customer for escalated issues and improvement plans related to Nokia's proprietary Nuage Networks Technologies and IP Routing principles. Support Emergency Management (EM) team in technical aspects of network outage. Ensure maintenance processes adherence and track contractual SLAs. Assist in pre-deployment, deployment, installation and remote support of networks. Ensure quality of service delivered by the global teams. Manage customer satisfaction issues.#LI-DNI
Your skills and experience
SALARY: $115,357 - $196,950 per year
WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.)
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must have a Bachelor's or foreign equivalent in Telecommunications, Telecommunications Engineering or a related field and 10 years of post-Bachelor's progressive related work experience.
Must have 5 years of employment experience with the following: Installation and maintenance of Telecommunications Data Networks, IP domains, SDN domains, IP/MPLS Networks, IP/MPLS Mobile Backhaul Networks, ElasticSearch clusters, KVM, VMWare, VirtualBox, Kubernetes, Containers, RHEL, and CentOS; Installation and maintenance of network management and protocols-oriented management applications; Operation of traffic generators including IPerf, IXIA and Spirent; and Ticket and case handling systems including CARES and SalesForce.
Must have certifications in the following: Routing certifications (4A0-101 through 109, NRSI, NRSII); Nuage Certifications (4A0-N01 and N02); Mobile Gateway (4A0-M01 and M02); and Data Center Fabric (4A0-D01).
Domestic travel required up to 5%.
International travel required up to 10%.
