Job Details:
We are currently seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Patent Docketing Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. This FULLY REMOTE position offers an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of our firm's operations, providing essential support to our attorneys. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of patent docketing and the patent process, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Responsibilities:
As an IP Docketing Paralegal, you will:

• Manage and maintain the firm's patent docketing system, ensuring all deadlines are accurately recorded and met.
• Analyze patent applications, filing receipts, application data sheets, notices of allowance, and office actions to identify critical deadlines.
• Examine and process all received correspondence from various sources such as the USPTO, clients, foreign associates, assignees, and other contacts.
• Initiate new records within the firm’s IP management platform.
• Archive all received documentation from the USPTO, clients, and foreign associates in the firm’s IP system.
• Responsible for the secure transfer of USPTO documents to client-specific portals while verifying and updating due dates as needed.
• Proficiency in Perfect Law and familiar with IP management tools like Anaqua, MyPatent, and Patricia for docketing.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must have:

• A minimum of 3 years of patent docketing experience
• At least 2 years of experience as an IP paralegal.
• A comprehensive understanding of the patent process, including the ability to analyze patent applications, filing receipts, application data sheets, notices of allowance, and office actions to identify critical deadlines.
• Proficiency with patent docketing software and databases.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
• A commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.
