Pre-Sales Solution Architecture; IoT & Engineering Services
We are seeking a consultative professional with deep technical expertise, a problem-solver who can support growth in our industry focused solutions, primarily concentrating on the Engineering and IoT Services business.
We are looking for a key pre-sales and technology leader with experience in Product Engineering / Hi-Tech Manufacturing, IOT and experience selling Device Engineering, PLM and IoT services.
You should have some large-scale consulting sales experience, market leadership, relationship management, sales quota achievement, and excellence in achieving both annual revenue and margin targets.
You will handle a portfolio of IoT programs and project delivery, establish and run governance with client collaborators, and run financial and demand forecasts across the Connected Products portfolio. You will also drive continuous improvements resulting in client value benefits, as well as a continuous proficiency uplift resulting in productivity and efficiency gains. This is a true P&L role - responsible for both top line & bottom-line growth.

You will be responsible for the following:
  • Craft pre-sales strategy and plan for pipeline generation, and collaborate with sales to qualify opportunities
  • Key collaborator management, partnering with internal leaders for solution creation and execution.
  • Responsible for Pre-Sales Development & Customer Relationship activities for the Communications Vertical.
  • Demand fulfillment, collaborating with HR / Ops, Offshore Teams, Business Vertical teams, and develop strong, long-term relationships with executives.
  • Contribute to NGN offerings, cases, investment requirements, pivotal initiatives for Wireless/Cable Network Operators
  • Support to offerings for TCV/revenue growth objectives and for Practice P&L
  • Technology transformation advisor for key Tier1 Telco service providers - Wireless &/or Cable Network /Technology/Process Modernization
  • Generate thought leadership for Telecom/Quadplay operators (Senior leadership presentations)
  • Lead analysts and advisors relations in the NGN field for Telcos
  • Positive relationships with telco Industry senior leaders (Cable or Wireless Network operator)

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering or similar field
Proven track record with a minimum of 8 years in a Business / Pre-Sales role in Product Engineering, industrial automation, or manufacturing across multiple industries, and experience with large scale consulting engagements
Ability to appreciate and work on 360-degree aspects around a Product development life cycle for Device Engineering, Network Transformation, Data Communications, Hi-tech manufacturing.
Deep technical skills in Engineering Services in the IoT domain, with the ability to find technical solutions to business problems and engage the potential customer with "consultative selling" is meaningful.
Executive presentation and persuasion skills, able to interface at all levels of an organization.
A Leader with vision who can speak at conferences/forums (MWC/TMForum etc)
Broad expertise in Telecom technologies - Wireless (5G/LTE, RAN, Core), Cable (DOCSIS, CPE, WiFi, RDK, Access, Core), NMS/OSS etc
Experience in Telecom modernization strategies - 5G/DOCSIS/WiFi, Virtualization, Network Twin, Cloudification, AIOps etc. Return on investment/CBA etc is helpful
Expertise in Technology evolution, IoT integration, service intelligence, AI powered NoC, Zero Touch Operations, etc.
Experienced Industry expert in Cable Wireless NextGen Networks(NGN) Solutions/Offerings
Experience with global delivery models (On-shore, Offshore, Nearshore, etc.)
Deep knowledge of industry trends, customer growth strategies, potential opportunities in various Technologies like OSS\BSS, Edge intelligence, Device Engineering, SDN, IoT, Docsis 3.1, 5G, PLM, Mesh Networking, WiFi, Technology migrations.
Exposure to Hi-Tech Manufacturing or PLM platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting engineering services and supporting solutions in a Big 4 or comparable ecosystem.
Ability to travel as needed to clients.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this role is between $200,000 - $225,000
depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
