About the Company

PowerTransitions LLC, a US-headquartered privately-held energy company, acquires and remediates brownfield industrial and power generation facilities, and redevelops them into renewable power generation and energy storage systems. Our focus market is the United States, which emits roughly 6.2 GT per year of CO2eq, a significant amount of the total GHG emissions in the World.
Founded in 2022, PowerTransitions is led by a group of industry professionals with over 100 years of collective experience redeveloping brownfield sites, developing, financing, constructing and operating power generation facilities valued at over $75 billion. PowerTransitions management team has been involved in the redevelopment of industrial and power generation facilities throughout the United States and has acquired, developed, financed, constructed, owned and operated wind, solar, hydroelectric, energy storage systems and other power generation technologies throughout the World.
PowerTransitions is headquartered in Houston, Texas.
The position is primarily responsible for:

Participating and assisting on various project analytical activities, including model building, screening of investment opportunities, investment committee memorandum and reports, updating and verifying source dates, liaising with various service providers, and other relevant work streams.
Providing high quality and timely financial impact assessments, risk management tools and decision-making matrices to the Executive team, Board and Risk Committee.
Developing and implementing financial models to support the delivery (for project finance purposes and investment assessment) of companys various power generation development projects and programs.
Planning, establishing, and maintaining a market-specific database of various project details, inputs/outputs, risk profile and return expectations.
Preparing and presenting company and project presentations to management, investors, lenders, and others.
Key Responsibilities

Analyze complex information including numerical analysis, present key conclusions and withstand challenges from internal and external audiences;
Develop and deliver detailed presentations on investment opportunities to deal team and investment committees;
Develop, deliver, and implement financial models and financial modeling tools for project return analysis, input reviews and assumptions, interim risk assessment and other projects specific outputs.
Lead the development of deal specific marketing materials such as project teasers, memorandums, etc. in coordination with internal and external advisors;
Work autonomously in building, populating, and using financial models for various projects within company's portfolio;
Ensure the availability and adequacy of data used in models is of sufficient quality by establishing procedures for collecting and manipulating information and building in appropriate checks and controls;
Provide good quality, timely financial modeling advice to other professional groups, in a logical, well-presented output that other nonspecialists can readily understand;
Communicate complex issues, written and verbal, to non-specialists; conduct presentations;
Create an understanding of the context and application of financial modeling tools and techniques;
Demonstrate and maintain a reputation for excellence in building models and designing modeling activities.
Qualifications

Bachelors degree in a numerical discipline (e.g., finance, accounting, math, engineering) with a strong academic track record. Professional certifications a plus (e.g., CFA);
At least two years experience in investment banking, valuation consulting, management consulting, or private equity;
Experience in project finance, energy, infrastructure and/or real assets developments is preferred;
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; VBA and Macro programming skills preferred;
Experience in strategic planning, cash flow & variance analysis, capital markets, and economic evaluations preferred;
Expertise designing, building, and operating complex financial models for the purposes of project finance, valuation, and investment analysis;
Experience designing, building, and/or maintaining risk assessment tools and numerical sensitivities;
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills with a specific focus on comfort with complex numbers; Excellent communication skills and conducting presentations;
Ability to anticipate project and corporate needs and have ability to manage and progress work assignments independently; ability to multi-task effectively and prioritize work across several reporting lines under deadline.
