INVESTIGATOR (Public Defender’s Office): Under general supervision, renders pretrial, trial and related investigative research assistance to the attorneys of the Public Defender’s Office in various legal matters. Performs generally semi-routine or diversified duties requiring judgment in the applications of the broader aspects of established practices and procedures.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate’s degree in law enforcement or related field
- Three years investigative or legal experience
- Considerable knowledge of criminal investigative procedures and techniques
- Considerable knowledge of legal terminology, research techniques and court procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license

SALARY: $19.23 hr
