Ventura Air Services has a NEW opening for an Inventory Sales associate at our location in Farmingdale, NY. This is a new position within our maintenance team and will play a critical role in managing our inventory and building vital relationships with venders as we continue to grow.
Position Responsibilities: 
- Coordinates resources necessary to ensure timely sourcing and repair.
- Decides sourcing of ‘customer supplied parts’ for repair.
- Tracks aircraft teardowns and part numbers for sourcing and compatibility/effectivity.
- Supports internal, external, and retail customers.
- Provides quotes to Sales Managers and external customers.
- Manages inventory and quantity levels on various parts broker websites.
- Determine market value, alternates, interchangeable, mods.
- Work with technical support to source hard-to-find requirements.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with MROs, suppliers, and teardown facilities.
- Coordinate with MRO shops on repairs, such as customer-supplied parts and disposition of BER parts.
- Update Sales Managers on transaction progress and details.
- Responsible for revenue goals
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Strong Microsoft office skills; specifically excel.
- Previous aviation or inventory control experience required.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Professional and well spoken. Must be comfortable speaking to team members, clients, owners, vendors, and guests from all demographics.
- Model a sense of urgency and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Strong business acumen and decision-making.
- Analytical problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to set overall strategy and drive process improvement.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Confident and goal-oriented

- A Valid Driver's license is required.
- Previous experience working with Corridor- or similar inventory control systems.
- Demonstrated experience managing inventory in an aviation, repair shop or manufacturing setting strongly preferred.

This position has the possibility of being a hybrid position once settled and established. The first 2-3 months at minimum will be onsite to learn about Ventura’s Core Values, our business, and fully get settled into this position.
