My client, a dynamic and growing Manufacturing company based in Orlando, FL, is committed to delivering exceptional products/services to our customers while maintaining efficient and accurate inventory management processes. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Specialist to join our team.
The Inventory Planning Specialist will play a critical role in managing and optimizing inventory operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating inventory movements, conducting regular audits, and ensuring that inventory levels meet the demands of the operations.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software and tools.
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring proper documentation and recording of inventory transactions.
- Perform regular inventory audits to reconcile physical inventory with system records.
- Identify discrepancies or issues in inventory levels and take corrective actions to resolve them.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained to support operations.
- Collaborate with purchasing and warehouse teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts or overstock situations.
- Implement best practices for inventory management, including organization, labeling, and storage.
- Generate reports on inventory status, trends, and discrepancies for management review.
- Assist in the development and implementation of inventory policies and procedures.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline inventory processes and improve efficiency.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma certification, highly preferred
- Proven experience in inventory management, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with acute attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of inventory control principles, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to inventory management is a plus.
