We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our Inventory Control team. Provide analytical support and manage inventory processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Analyze and deliver on-target projections for multiple functional areas. This position reports directly to the Inventory & Process Manager and will assist with the following duties:
- Investigate and correct inventory discrepancies.
- Ensures all costs are accurate and accounted for on purchase orders.
- Assists operations, pricing, Inventory Control, and accounts payable departments in resolving system and/or invoice cost discrepancies and determining appropriate corrective action with the vendor to resolve them.
- Provides sales and informational assistance on products and freight to staff and customers.
Responsibilities
- Identify and manage surplus and obsolete inventory
- Proactively works to reduce and manage this inventory
- Understands the impact of slow-moving inventory on the procurement process
- Manager aging and tracking of non-stock material
- Oversee Order Entry process to ensure that orders are entered to best impact inventory usage, such as managing and overseeing the use of Future Orders for maximum advantage
- Track and document changes in inventory
- Perform cycle counts or check different sections of inventory on a rotating basis
- Reconcile discrepancies
- Use our ERP system to communicate inventory information with other business units
- Ensure proper labeling and shipping standards are being recognized
- Ensure compliance with safety standards
- Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures
- Physical Inventory presence ( some weekend work)

Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Warehouse or logistics experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
- Organization skills
- Bistrack knowledge
- Product knowledge is a plus
Travel Requirement
Ability to travel when necessary. Approximately 50-75% of the time.

Work is performed in an office environment.
