We are seeking an Inventory Control Specialist with experience working with an MRP / enterprise software system, within Inventory Control in a manufacturing environment. This position is a combination of computer work and being on the warehouse & manufacturing floor to complete daily tasks. This is a full-time position with benefits, and reports to the Inventory Control Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Creating work orders for machine shop and welding departments
- Verify completed work orders for BOM accuracy and std. run times
- Monitor inventory levels & conduct regular cycle counts to ensure ongoing accuracy
- Active participation in semi-annual physical inventory counts
- Review and correction to on hand inventory values within a MRP system
- Oversee the Inventory Control portion of customer returns / restocks
- Assist with analysis of reorder points to improve inventory availability
- Review and post non-work order inventory movement
- Review and marking of inventory items that have zero activity in MRP system
- Assist with special projects focused on improving inventory accuracy & work flow processes
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 2 years' experience in Inventory Control / or manufacturing environment
- Solid computer skills, experience using an MRP/ enterprise software system mandatory
- Capable of maintaining accuracy in all work
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, self-motivated, friendly, reliable.
- Able to organize, prioritize and work on multiple tasks as necessary to meet deadlines
- Able to lift at least 30 lbs.
- Able to work with others and communicate effectively
