Inventory Control Specialist will be a critical position in implementing, and supervising procedures to improve inventory accuracy. The position will assist management in the development and implementation of a formal program to audit all areas related to material movement, integrity and accuracy. As Inventory Control Specialist you will lead cycle count program for the Sunnyvale site. Responsibilities will include identifying root causes for inventory discrepancies and implementation of corrective actions.
What will you do?
- Develop, implement, and monitor all key functions related to inventory transactions to assure that they are accurate and timely.
- Perform physical count of inventory and reconciles actual stock count to Navision while ensuring inventory and transactional accuracy.
- Coordinate the cycle count progress and results to identify needed recounts and processes to be monitored and provide regular reports on the results.
- Perform detailed research and document inventory discrepancies using all available resources to identify root causes and supply possible solutions.
- Work with key personnel to efficiently implement process improvements to operational procedures in an effort to proactively optimize overall location and item level accuracy and maintain the highest possible efficiency levels.
- Coordinate cycle counts in an effort to identify and correct discrepancies on items at the location level as needed.
- Will monitor warehouse and store transfers for accuracy and cost efficiency as advised by Purchasing and Distribution Management.
- Troubleshoots receiving and accounting problems from time of receipt.
Education:
Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years' experience in an inventory planning, control or related function.
- Intermediate Excel & MS Word required
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Inventory Management, Material Planning or related field from an accredited institution desired/preferred.
- Working knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Navision
- Experience with report writing database tools a plus
- Proven problem-solving abilities and analytical skills
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills
- Must have the ability to work independently
- Must have excellent mathematical skills
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, advised or assigned
Compensation/Benefits:
The salary range estimated for this position is $21/hr. to $32.50/hr.. This position will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. Actual compensation will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.
