The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for being the subject matter authority (SMA) for all warehouse functions in the JOM distribution centers. You will assist all teams in helping to identify and implement cost and safety projects in and around Inventory Control. In addition, you will develop, report, and maintain department measures, GDP/GMP compliance, safety process, and support of continuous improvement, participating and/or leading cross-functional teams and inventory management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with management and engineering in the creation and implementation of new processes.
  • Align all Inventory Control (including refusals, recalls, etc.) documents to all WMS requirements (print screens, terminology, process flow) to assure management that all distribution associates (management, engineering, warehouse operators) have the most concise and accurate documented processes in Document Management systems, across JOM.
  • Ensure Inventory Control documents are aligned with GDP, GMP, ISO 9001-2008, DEA, Sarbanes Oxley, or any other regulatory agency requirements.
  • With your strong knowledge of WMS, SAP, and JDE, you will have responsibility for but not limited to the following business needs: setting up cycle counts, investigating and resolving all IDOC, Sync Check, and Serialization issues.
  • Set up and maintain DPQ information for all new products, lead all Inventory Control activities for divestitures, ensure proper month, quarter, and year-end closures, and ensure all MDAs are properly in place before any destructions can be processed.
  • Align all WMS systems, pick, pack, and ship processes for all downgrades as required by Quality Control; build and ensure all cycle counts are completed as required.
  • Identify and support benchmarking activities.
  • Partner with JOM management to prepare the Distribution Site to meet internal or external regulatory compliance requirements such as VAWD, ISO 9001, DEA, etc.
  • Act as a Lead or help lead activities with Quality Assurance, Operations, and Information Technologies in preparing documents for review for ongoing documents.
  • Support all QEMS activities as required to help ensure identification and resolution of any finding or discovery, discovered during audits.
  • For projects bringing in new businesses for JOM, you will write and test all FSDs to ensure proper alignment between all WMS and ERP systems.

Qualifications

Required -

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent degree is required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience is required.
  • Work experience within inventory, warehouse, or distribution experience.
  • Warehouse Management System (WMS) knowledge; WMS such as SAP, Red Prairie, and MARC are helpful.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis, stand and walk on concrete floors 95% of the time, and perform repetitive bending/twisting tasks.
  • Ability to work in a refrigerated environment at 2 to 8 C (35 to 46 F) for up to 2 hours at a time.
  • Team-oriented mindset and willingness to help extended teams.
  • Willingness and capability to operate Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIVs) and other job-related equipment; PIV certification is helpful.
  • Ability to work Monday through Thursday 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with overtime and weekends as needed.

Preferred –

  • An associate's or bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience in the Pharmaceutical industry or another regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated technical writing skills (e.g., SOPs, WIs, or New Product Introductions).
  • Experience coaching/training coworkers on issue identification, resolution, and prevention.

Additional Information:

  • The anticipated base pay range for this position is $50,000 to $80,500 annually.
  • This position is overtime eligible
