JOB SUMMARY
The Inventory Control Manager is a corporate role that will lead Inventory Control operations for all segments within OTC with the goal to right size the inventory and ensure the proper items are stocked to maintain high customer service levels. This individual will align with site stakeholders to optimize inventory capabilities, develop & implement best practices, and reduce overall inventory cost as well as drastically reduce excess and obsolescence.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Establishes and Implements policies, objectives, and initiatives.
- Employs standards, KPI's, scorecards, and procedures to maximize efficiency and cost management.
- Assist segments with inventory planning, forecasting, and demand management.
- Evaluate most effective replenishment and management strategies (min/max, EOQ, JIT, ABC, etc.)
- Review and adjust system settings when necessary, considering SKU demand, lead time, and replenishment strategy.
- Minimize carry costs and mitigate stock outs and overstocking.
- Enhance cycle count program.
- Develop Plan for Every Part (PFEP).
- Utilizes tools and systems for tracking, analysis, audits, and reporting.
- Ability to communicate effectively and present to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams and stakeholders to identify and prioritize initiatives and develop best practices.
- Oversee timely processing of returned material.
- Increase inventory turns and working capital.
- Monitor off-site consignment and Lot inventory.
- Develop management system for non- stock items.
- Enforce data integrity & data driven decisions.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years related experience in Inventory Management or Supply Chain in a leadership position.
- Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university
- Warehouse management in a Distribution/ Service & Repair/ Manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record with quantifiable results.
- Strong warehouse management skills.
- Experience in Continuous improvement, project management, & strategic planning.
- Experience in procurement, logistics, and/or distribution a plus.
- C.P.M., CPSM, CSCP, or CPIM certification is preferred.
- Ability to travel domestically 25-50%
- Working knowledge of distribution, assembly, service repair, & manufacturing processes.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication skills, written & verbal.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Thorough understanding of financial impact of decisions.
- Previous ERP/MRP/WMS experience.
