The Inventory Control Coordinator reporting directly to the Receiving Distribution Supervisor is accountable and responsible for the effective management, efficiency and control of the Materials Distribution inventories and related activities.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities Includes the Following:
- Understands and adheres to the WPH Performance Standards, Policies and Behaviors.
- Create a stock replenishment requisition daily utilizing par levels.
- Verifies Medical unit contents to insure accuracy.
- Responds to department requests for assistance.
- Maintain open communication and positive relationships with unit managers to keep par levels current based on usage.
- Must be willing and able to work flexible shifts.
- Works in conjunction with Materials Management staff to maintain the item database.
- Takes an active role in department meetings when needed.
- Provide management support in the absence of the Receiving/Distribution Supervisor.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalency required. College preferred.
Computer literate and preferable experienced in Microsoft word and Excel
Core Competencies
Must be able to read, write and spell accurately and perform basic arithmetic. Must be well organized and able to prioritize effectively and work well under pressure. Minimum of three years’ experience with Inventory Control.
Physical/Mental Demands/Requirements & Work Environment
- May be exposed to chemicals necessary to perform required tasks. Any hazardous chemicals the employee may be exposed to are listed in the hospital’s SDS (Safety Data Sheet) data base and may be accessed through the hospital’s Intranet site (Employee Tools/SDS Access). A copy of the SDS data base can also be found at the hospital switchboard, saved on a disc.
- Must be able to lift, push and pull heavy objects, stand, sit bend, stoop and walk for extended period of time in order to perform the outlined job duties properly and safely
- Ability to operate manual and power jacks

Salary Range: $62,038.08-$93,068.24- based on full time schedule.
Location: White Plains Hospital · Receiving
Schedule: Full Time, Day, Mon-Fri 8A- 4P, alternation w/e & holiday
