REALIZE YOUR TALENT
The Inventory Control Specialist keeps track of the components and parts in the stockroom and manages orders to facilitate sales or production. The duties include signing off on shipments, counting the number of available products and placing orders for more inventory according to demand.
- Assists in handling the company's inventory; and keeps inventory operations smooth and efficient in the stock room, warehouse, or shipping/receiving department.
- Inspects receipts of new stock to make sure orders have been filled correctly, and looks for damage; when problems are detected, contacts quality and/or planning as necessary.
- Verifies counts of all incoming supplies and materials, enters data into SAP, and puts material away in designated locations. Performs periodic cycle counts, counting materials and entering quantities per procedure.
- Follows department procedures to fill manufacturing orders (MO’s), customer orders, scrap tickets, shortage tickets, engineering requests for materials, subcontracting orders.
- Receives all incoming shipments into SAP, if necessary, and then distributes to the correct department/recipient. Distributes all necessary paperwork or copies to the quality department and supervisor.
- Generates necessary deliveries in SAP and corresponding picking paperwork for subcontracting purchase orders, customer orders and orders for sister facilities.
KNOW THE REQUIREMENTS
- To comply with ITAR, must be a US Citizen or Permanent Legal Resident
- SAP experience
- At least two years of experience working in shipping/receiving
