As a nationally accredited program with a strong educational component in The University of New Mexico School of Medicine, the Office of the Medical Investigator (OMI) investigates any death occurring across the state of New Mexico that is sudden, violent, untimely, unexpected or where a person is found dead and the cause of death is unknown. The OMI, which is a special program within the Department of Pathology, determines the cause and manner of death in these cases, and provides formal death certification.

OMI is currently looking for an Inventory Control Clerk to join our team. This is a part time position. Our ideal candidate will be detail oriented and great with follow through. Some knowledge of typical autopsy language and inventory is helpful. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic and able to work in an Inventory Control system. Conditions of Employment
  • Possession of a valid New Mexico driver's license is a requirement for this job.
  • All regular, non-temporary positions assigned to this classification are represented by a labor union and subject to the terms and conditions of the CWA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

-Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and Inventory Control.

-Ability to reconcile stock counts to report data.

-Database management skills.

-Ability to analyze and solve problems.

-Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.

-Ability to receive, stock, and/or deliver goods.

-Clerical, word processing, and/or office skills.

-Knowledge of university invoicing procedures.
