Inventory Associate I
Job Description Summary: Responsible for compiling information and records of stocked materials.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
- Maintains records of all stocks and materials within organization.
- Reviews inventory records to determine if material on hand is in sufficient quantity.
- Works closely with sales and planning to minimize inventory and/or to enter orders to replenish supply if necessary.
- Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count, or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.
- Performs and records results of inventory cycle counts as designated by management.
- Assists with physical inventory process as needed.
- Notifies purchasing and planning personnel of any inventory adjustments.
- Properly stores stock in appropriate location.
- Ensures all inventory is tagged and labeled.
- Compiles records of items’ purchased prices, deliveries, and inventories.
- Controls inventories in accordance with management objectives.
- May confer with suppliers concerning late deliveries.
- May arrange for disposal of surplus materials.
- May prepare reports of inventory balances, designating any shortages or overages.
- Ensures inventory location is clean and properly organized.
- May verify bills from suppliers with bids and purchase orders.
- Assists and/or performs in any and all areas as assigned.
- May work any and all shifts/days as required.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience of 1 year or more. Experience:
- List the minimum experience necessary for the job
- List preferred experience and mark as “preferred”
Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Performs tasks requiring moderate proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office, Outlook and MFGPro.
- Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds
Position Specific Title and Responsibilities (Optional):
- May be required to maintain a valid Fork Lift license.
Position Specific Physical Requirements (Optional):
- May be required to transport hazardous materials.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.18 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
