Job Description
Summary: The Inventory Control Associate assists the Inventory Control Supervisor to ensure that the physical inventory at our Regional Distribution Center is properly accounted for, correctly bin located and in saleable condition.
Responsibilities:
- Stock material that has been previously received in by the Receiving Department
- Bin Locate new inventory stocked at the Regional Distribution Center
- Pull down overstock and fill primary bin locations
- Assist the Inventory Control Supervisor in the processing and shipping of vendor returns
- Assist the Inventory Control Supervisor in maintaining the bin location integrity of our inventory
- Perform any other miscellaneous inventory-related tasks assigned by Inventory Control Supervisor
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience with warehouse or distribution and/ or previous inventory control or cycle counting experience is preferred.
- Able to identify product by size, type, style, color or product code.
- Basic math skills and reasoning skills.
- Certification of power-truck equipment. Operate inventory control equipment, i.e., bar-coding equipment, handheld devices.
- Must be a self-started that is highly detail oriented.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to move/lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Be able to withstand extreme temperatures in a typical warehouse environment
- Position spends a large amount of time standing, walking, lifting, pulling and pushing. Position may require climbing of ladders for top-level selection
- Great vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
