Position:
Role: Interventional Radiology- RN
Job Location: Atlantic City, NJ
Shift: 4x10 Monday- Friday
Job Duration: 13+ Weeks [With potential to convert into FTE]
Responsibilities:
Assists the physician in these procedures.
The nurse is responsible for patient care during the entire process, including the initial assessment, the plan of care, administering medication, checking for lab results, and reviewing the patients medical history.
Inserting, maintaining, and removing intravenous lines for safe medication and contrast dye delivery
Reviewing allergies, patient history, and physical assessment findings with the patient and medical team prior to surgery
Educating patients and family members on post-operative plans and procedures
Assisting surgeons during neurological and vascular angiography (setting up supplies, passing guide wires and catheters, preparing sterile trays and equipment, handing over instruments and supplies, etc.)
Monitoring for and addressing intraoperative complications (oversedation, cardiac arrhythmia, respiratory decompensation, acid/base imbalance, etc.)
Requirements: (Bullet/ Certifications/work experience)
2 years experience required.
Vascular work in a Hybrid OR, extensive leg work with angiograms and lysis catheters. Must general product knowledge.
State License- Required
BLS, ACLS, PALS
