Dean’s Professional Services is now hiring qualified, patient-care-focused Interpretersto work for a State Hospital in the Houston, TX area.

Interpretersare responsible for providing e interpreting and translation services as needed while presenting a positive, professional image.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide oral interpreting services for hospital areas including inpatient, outpatient, day surgery and emergency center.
• Provide oral interpreting of clinical and health care-related discussions involving staff, patients, families, and physicians.
• Respond to interpreting assignments in an expedient and professional manner.
• Maintain proper medical terminology vocabulary and fluency both in English and target language.
• Facilitate information exchange by interpreting without editorializing and abides by a code of professional ethics.
• Deliver video remote interpreting (VRI) devices to units/clinics as needed and provides instruction on the use of the device.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Required.
• Medical Translator / Interpreter certification. Required.
• 2 years of related healthcare experience.Required.
• Ability to speak fluently in both English and target language, communicate well both verbally and in writing in English and target language, be able to deal professionally with a variety of people, demonstrate control under stressful situations, and provide effective customer relations.
• Advanced proficiency in oral and written English and the target language.
• Knowledge of human relations and languages.
• Must work well in a fast-paced setting. Required.

Job Details:

• Schedule varies; Typically M-F hours between 8am -4:30pm
• $24/hr + benefits
• Full benefits – healthcare, dental, vision, 401k program
• Temp-to-Hire opportunity
• Outpatient facility
