Bakery Clerk/Cashier

French's in Orange location is looking for an energetic, creative, and friendly candidates to join our team!
We are looking for Counter Help only.--

Good customer service is critical to every business. This position is about treating customers in a welcoming and friendly manner while taking custom cake orders. It requires someone who is creative, has good- writing, creates merchandise displays, and has cash handling experience. We have been in business since 1965, we value our customers greatly so the same is expected from our staff.

Basic duties include:
-Process transactions in a quick and efficient manner.
- Help set up display cases with product.
- Keep display cases, counter and outside display cases clean and presentable throughout the day
- Check proper temperature of food in the display cases to maintain Health Department standards.
- Making sure utensils and supplies are stocked
-Rotate or remix product to maintain fresh appearance.
- Maintains current health department codes and company standards by cleaning & sanitizing bakery equipment, counters, displays, cases, and floors
- Packages, stocks, displays and merchandises all bakery goods according to company standards.
- Practice safe food handling procedures at all times.
- Answer telephone.
- All other duties assigned.
-Operates cash register

-Maintain store presentation
-Take cake orders in person and over the phone

Counter help qualifications:

-Strong communication skills
- Posses the ability to handle high stress and volume of customers while maintaining a positive shopping experience for the customer.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
-Stand for periods of time; walk; frequent use of hands.
- Occasionally lift and /or move up to 50 pounds
