About these Opportunities: 7-Eleven Inc. has several opportunities for 2024 Summer Internships. Each internship opportunity will occur during the summer months, (10-12 weeks), focused on a specific functional area, and will provide the candidate with a depth experience within the area, culminating in a project presentation to functional leaders. Each intern will work closely with a coach who will meet regularly to discuss project progress, provide direction and ongoing feedback. In addition, each intern will attend a lunch series which will provide a cross-functional view into the organization and give the interns exposure to senior leadership. The interns will also have the experience of touring a store and learning about our distribution systems.
Responsibilities
The SE Intern must have a strong and continuously growing proficiency in iOS application development with Swift. This includes actively participating in designing, developing, reviewing, testing, and releasing iOS apps for iPhone and iPad to drive our digital products. 7-Eleven’s mobile first strategy enables a wide range of product offerings that touch all aspects of convenience including Mobile Fuel Pay, Mobile Checkout, Product Delivery, and more. Work in an environment of cutting-edge application architecture, using the latest Apple API’s for application modularization and performance enhancements. The 7-Eleven app is always being updated with the latest Swift offerings. We are the first iOS application to implement Sirikit in convenience to let users fuel their vehicles using a voice assistant.

About you:
You have a passion for code and putting the customer first and delivering an exceptional experience through the creation of extendable and re-usable products.
Responsibilities
- Eager to learn new technologies and attention to detail.
- Executes product lifecycle (inception through deprecation) to create reliable and flexible iOS apps bound for the iOS AppStore and retail customer’s devices.
- Collaborates with other Engineers, Creative/UX designers, Scrum Masters, Product Managers, Business Analysts and Architects.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science Engineering with 1+ years of experience in iOS App development (or) Masters in Computer Science.
- Knowledgeable in iOS App Development using Swift, SwiftUI.
- Demonstrated experience using SwiftUI.
- Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
- Experience with XCTestFramework and XCUITestFramework.
- Solid understanding of iOS Human Interface Guidelines, including Swift UI for application development.
- Experience in creating dynamic frameworks for distributing modularized features.
- Comfortable with integration to RESTful APIs.
- Ability to work in an Agile /SCRUM environment.
- Well organized with a bias for.
- A team player with a start-up/entrepreneur mindset.
- Ravenous about learning technology and problem solving.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
