The Princess Summer Internship Program is a 10-week paid summer internship opportunity designed to provide exposure and insight to professional careers in the amazing leisure travel, cruise industry.  The selected interns will work on departmental projects as well as participate in professional development and enrichment activities. This is a hybrid work schedule, the role will be based in our Santa Clarita, CA office.

2024 Program Dates (two options)

• Program runs 10 weeks from June 10th - August 16th or June 17th - August 23rd. 

Eligibility

• Eligible candidates are enrolled in a four-year accredited undergraduate program (where they are at least a rising junior) and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• MUST NOT be a graduating senior in the summer 2024.

Compensation

• Undergraduate Student - $25.00/hr

Intern Opportunity - Property Claims
During Alaska season the movement of luggage throughout the land operation separates guests from their luggage which is transported by truck.  This results in a need to locate lost bags throughout our properties and transportation facilities and respond to guest queries and arrange for onward transport. The intern will assist with these efforts while documenting process and implementing process improvements.  The intern will review guest claims for lost or damaged luggage to support the adjusters with recommendations for compensation based on the ticket limitations.

• Intake guest communications regarding damaged or lost luggage
• Conduct virtual search throughout the system to locate missing bags
• Arrange transport of bags to correct location
• Prepare compensation recommendations for damaged bags based on ticket

Requirements

• Proficiency using MS office Suite including Outlook & MS Teams
• Ability to work independently, remotely and self-manage
• Well organized and able to communicate effectively with colleagues and managers. 
• The types of duties the students will perform will vary and may require some technical tasks, projects and/or work that may require specific proficiencies, technical abilities and/or computer skills.

Majors Preferred

• Any major, but excellent spoken and written grammar required

Skills Preferred

• Grammar skills, both written and oral
