The primary project of Operational Efficiency Intern is Deep Ultraviolet (DUV) laser service automation by developing mechanical designs for laser alignment automation service kits for laser Optics modules in order to achieve service automation, service time reduction, and reduce Field Service Engineer (FSE) skill level required.
Role and responsibilities
  • Develop and document mechanical designs for laser alignment automation service kit for DUV laser from concept to completion to manufacturing.
  • Work with the project lead engineer to develop, analyze, and fabricate component/assemblies.
  • Create mechanical system/subsystem specifications to meet performance requirements
  • Create detailed CAD drawings to be used for the manufacture.
  • Analyze/select materials and verify design accuracy.
  • Define test plans, perform testing and write test reports.
  • Provide effective presentation and written evaluations to communicate concepts, designs, test results, etc.

Education and experience
  • A MS student who is majoring with Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with CAD and Machining.
  • Mechanical Drawings, Data Analysis.
  • Soft skill requirements (i.e. strong English communication skills - both written and oral).

Responsibilities:

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently $17.00 - $53.00. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
