We're hiring for a Tax Manager - International Tax for our New York City office. Responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:
Prepare and review both compliance and advisory work for a broad client base including high net worth individuals, trusts, partnerships and corporations; both inbound and outbound clients, in a broad range of industries
Excellent knowledge of fundamental US international tax rules including residency and sourcing rules, ECI, Subpart F, PFIC, Foreign Tax Credits, withholding taxes, and tax treaties.
Research and write at an advanced level
Experience working with inbound and outbound acquisitions, dispositions and reorganizations at an advanced level
Provide technical advice and comprehensive solutions to clients based on research and analysis
Formulate effective and tax-efficient cross-border strategies for both US and overseas investments; Manage client's global structural tax rate
Experience with offshore holding, operating structures as well as intellectual property restructuring
Assist companies to understand and assess the tax impact of company business, operations and transactions in multiple jurisdictions
Comprehensive understanding of international tax reporting obligations, including Forms 1040NR, 1120F, 5471, 5472, 1118, 1116, 926, 8865, 8858, 8621, 3520, 3520A, 2555, and 8833.
Monitor tasks are assigned and completed on a timely basis and review workflow
Oversee Staff and Senior(s) and coordinate the day-to-day duties
Communicates with Partner on work status and client issues that arise
Supervises, trains and mentors tax staff
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
5+ years' experience in a similar role
Ability to work independently, but also work well with others
Strong technical and broad based advisory and client management skills
Stays current on international tax technical and industry developments and standards while evaluating potential impacts on their client engagements
Formal mentoring relationships with all levels of staff
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Taxation or Accounting and/or a LL.M. in taxation
Licensed CPA or admission to a State Bar
2+ years' supervisory experience in a similar role
Software Experience - CCH ProSystem, Microsoft Office 365

Compensation Range
Salary: $140,000.00 - $175,000.00
