Description
The Summer Student Internship Program with the City of Round Rock is designed to provide an on-the-job opportunity to gain "real world" work experience in a career-related professional workforce environment.
Examples of Duties
- Assist with administration and oversight of our summer youth camp programs.
- Assist with the training and management of our summer youth camp counselors.
- Assist with the development of summer youth camp curriculum.
- Maintain and inventory summer youth camp equipment.
- Coordinate registration for summer youth camps.
- Communicate with parents.
- Assist with social media advertising.
Experience and Training
Undergraduate Intern:
- Must be enrolled as a full-time or recent graduate of an accredited university or college;
- Must be classified (or most recently classified) as an undergraduate student;
- Must be able to provide an unofficial transcript and resume; and,
- Must have a minimum overall GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
Graduate Intern:
- Must be enrolled full-time or a recent graduate of an accredited university or college;
- Must be classified (or most recently classified) as a graduate student;
- Must be able to provide an unofficial transcript and resume; and,
- Must have a minimum overall GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
