Intern, Retail & Merchandise Marketing

The Los Angeles Rams are working to build our legacy as a top sports brand in Los Angeles. With the opening of our new home at SoFi Stadium, a plethora of events in the offseason and working to create meaningful cultural connections with new fans across LA, the calendar is chock full of amazing brand experiences.

The Rams Merchandise and Retail Intern is responsible for supporting the Merchandise and Retail team with day-to-day operational and administrative needs. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to learn about the merchandise and retail world of the NFL from the lens of a team innovating with a new brand. The Merchandise and Retail Intern will be expected to learn internal processes for promotional orders, internal merchandise requests, and licensed product. This candidate will need to work cross functionally within the organization to manage and facilitate departmental merchandise needs. Merchandise is a thread that weaves through the entire organization and this role is crucial for keeping it strong and consistent.

Role Responsibilities:

• Support overall merchandising and retail activities throughout the length of the season, both internally and externally
• Handle day-to-day tasks relating to promo and retail orders, including, but not limited to, price procurement and creative requests
• Monitor industry trends, identify best practices of competing sports, and drive internal innovation within the organization

• Assist with executing photo and video shoots for major merchandise projects.
• Assist with gameday merchandise needs including pre-game product delivery and in-stadium visual merchandising for all major gameday product launches
• Additional tasks assigned as needed

Role Qualifications (Skills/Experience/Capabilities):

• Retail background strongly preferred, previous experience in team sports a plus.
• Strong understanding of merchandise buying and basic math/financial skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work on a diverse scope of projects requiring detailed analysis, creative/practical problem solving, and sound judgment.
• Ability to operate and contribute in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
• An independent, strategic, and creative thinker who is able to take ownership of tasks from inception to completion.
• Ability to effectively communicate and maintain working relationships with external and third-party partners.
• Intermediate skill level in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast pace and dynamic environment
• Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays when needed, including Sundays during in-season home games.

Salary: $16/hr.
