ABOUT THE PROGRAM

As an intern at Invenergy, you will have the opportunity to:
- Expand your knowledge and skills while gaining hands-on professional experience
- Engage with leaders throughout the organization and learn about the clean energy industry through weekly lunch-and-learns.
- Visit our nearby power plants: Grand Ridge Energy Center and Nelson Energy Center
- Spend a day giving back to the community with our 'Volunteer Time Off' program

- Attend a networking mixer to learn more about and engage with representatives from our various affinity groups (Women's Network, LGBTQ+, Black & Brown, Veteran's Network, & more!)

- Our program takes place from June - August lasting for 10-12 weeks
ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP
Applicants will be considered for internships with various engineering departments across the organization. In the past, our engineering interns have joined teams such as:
- OPERATIONS ENGINEERING AND DATA ANALYTICS: Provides first line technical and analytical support to power plants in operation.
- RENEWABLE ENGINEERING AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Oversees the technical design, evaluation and construction of commercial and utility-scale wind (both onshore and offshore), solar, thermal, and storage projects.
- TRANSMISSION AND COMMERCIAL ANALYTICS: Manages all interconnection and transmission aspects of generation projects. Assesses and communicates information about the energy markets using quantitative models, independent market studies, market risk analysis and forecasts.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently enrolled in a 4-year Bachelor's degree program with an expected graduation date between December 2024 and May 2025.
- Majoring in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Interest in the renewable energy or clean energy sector.
- Comfortable working in an amorphous environment.
