Intern- Qc Stability Coordination

Job Summary
Responsible for providing laboratory support. Duties are of routine nature and are followed according to established standard operating procedures. Individual must use judgement to determine when independent action is are appropriate or to contact supervisor for direction at our Melrose Park, IL facility.
Responsibilities

• Maintains inventory of laboratory supplies and samples. Receives supplies and stock shelves or delivers supplies as necessary.
• Maintains laboratory in compliance with safety, GMP, and GLP standards.
• Accurately documents activities in accordance with GMP requirements.
• Follows standard operating procedures while performing duties and maintains accurate records of all physical and analytical testing.
• Prepares and catalogs HPLC, reagents, ACS and Test Solutions.
• Ensures proper storage of samples/materials and maintain chambers/warehouse.
• Receives and verifies accuracy of printed labeling material.
• Performs destruction of expired samples/materials.
• Responsible for collecting all the testing data for Inter-location Transfers (ILT).
• Promptly reports discrepancies and out of limits conditions to supervision.
• Performs other duties as required by Supervisor in support of daily lab operations.

Requirements

• Intern candidates must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S.
• Our internships are unable to accommodate OPT.
• Interns are responsible for their own housing.
• Ability to perform light to moderate physical labor, at times briefly under conditions of extreme heat, cold and humidity.
• Attention to detail.
• Chemistry, Biology, Bio-chemistry background knowledge preferred.
• Basic Microsoft word and excel knowledge.
