Job Summary: The Intern Project Manager will play a vital role in managing information technology projects from initiation through implementation, adhering to Labcorp's Systems Life Cycle (SLC). The Intern Project Manager will be responsible for supporting various aspects of project planning, execution, and communication.
Project Planning and Documentation
  • Assist in utilizing project management methodologies to support LIS conversion projects.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of project documentation, including project scope, deliverables, plans, cost tracking, and status reports.

Communication and Collaboration
  • Support the facilitation of meetings and communication within cross-functional teams.
  • Assist in coordinating activities and ensuring effective communication to stakeholders and within the project team.

Risk Management and Issue Resolution
  • Assist in evaluating project risks and participate in the development of contingency plans.
  • Contribute to the identification of project issues, escalating them through established channels.

Implementation Oversight
  • Support the daily oversight of project implementation, ensuring adherence to timeframes, budget requirements, and quality standards.

Vendor Management
  • Collaborate in managing vendor relationships, including communication and issue resolution.

Reporting and Status Updates
  • Assist in providing regular reports and project status updates to management and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the documentation of process standards as required.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or Master degree
  • Experience: Strong interest in information technology project management. Previous internship or coursework in project management is a plus.
  • Skills: Demonstrated communication and organizational skills.

Location: Remote availability.
Pay Range: $20.00 / hour
