Logistics Intern
The Logistics Intern is a member of the logistics team and plays a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of a company's supply chain and distribution network and collaborates with all members of the team. This internship will last from May until August of 2024.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES & SCOPE:
- Participate in Daily Operations Huddle to support the coordination of resources
- Conduct market assessment
- Utilizes software to monitor and analyze trucking efficiency and performance
- Works with accounting to answer payment questions
- Review safety rating of haulers
- Review plans and coordinates trucking capacity for operational needs
- Enters data into software to document daily activities
- Special Projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Preferred, currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, Business, or other related disciplines with an interest in construction.
- Dedication to learning, expanding knowledge, and continuous improvement.
- Interest in Heavy Highway/Civil construction projects.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Superior organizational and prioritization skills.
- Problem-solving, acceptance of responsibility, and work ethic.
- Motivation to complete tasks on time and on budget.
- Valid driver's license with insurable driving record.
