Our corporate summer internship program allows each intern to fully design and present a strategic project to executive leaders, meet weekly with fellow interns to learn about the business, leadership development, philanthropy, and other topics near to our hearts, and actively participate in meetings with their teams and with all levels of leaders throughout the summer.
The Intern of Software QA will perform manual and automated test execution, analyzes test results for accuracy and compliance; finds root cause of problems and contributes to resolution process. Provide results to appropriate staff and management. Identify or create test data input based on specifications; determine output based on business rules. Document and share best practices for test data management.
They will also assist in researching new products or technologies to continuously improve our testing framework, continue to learn and mature skillset especially pertaining to performance, automation and CI/ CD skills, and partner with the Manager of IT Quality Assurance in the development, review, and publication of standards, policies and procedures for all functions involved with or related to the quality and testing.
Our goal is to learn from our interns and provide a realistic preview of what working at JOANN would be through this paid and real-to-life internship experience!
JOB DUTIES

• You'll work on projects that are tied to the JOANN strategy and could have a direct impact on our business. You'll be set up for success with opportunities to attend business meetings, receive real-time feedback, have performance reviews and showcase your work in front of our leadership team.

• Work alongside your leader and team to complete tasks and smaller projects as they emerge. This is the real day-to-day work that provides great exposure to what it would be like working in this area of the business.

• By attending weekly intern program events with subject matter experts and many of our leaders, you'll not only learn about interviewing, networking and our business, but you'll also get a view of the JOANN culture and an understanding of why we're so passionate about our brand. Also, the handmade community is all about giving to and connecting with others. It's just who we are. So we've dreamt up some social events to help you cut loose and connect with other interns, as well as ways to give back to the community.

• Hone those intangible skills and build your professional network by spending time with your assigned buddy and colleagues. They will help you acclimate and be your go-to for questions, but you should also take advantage of their experience so you can ace an interview, build your network at JOANN and more.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Minimum Education: Pursuing a bachelor's degree in area of relevant study.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This internship is an on-site opportunity at JOANN's Store Support Center located in Hudson, OH.
Some travel may be required to visit local stores & JOANN's Customer Experience (CX) center (within 10 miles of the Store Support Center).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Ability to learn new concepts and skills quickly
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Be able to occasionally lift 10-20 pounds as needed.
