Since1952,Lakeside Industries, Inc.has been an award-winning industry leader, specializing in manufacturing and construction of asphalt pavements for Federal, State, City and private customers in the Pacific Northwest with an emphasis on safety and environmental protection.We are a full-service asphalt paving contractor with 18 asphalt plants, experienced paving crews, state-of-the-art equipment and full trucking capabilities. We have full quality control over our operations in order to provide exceptional service to our customers.
We are currently seeking Summer 2024 Interns for a full-time, temporary internship available in our HR Department. This is a great position for someone who is currently in school, and is looking for a full-time, hands-on internship over the summer months. Our HR Department handles the full lifecycle of employment from branding and recruiting to retirement.
Some responsibilities and exposure for this internship may include, but are not limited to:
- In-office support for all aspects of the Human Resources Team
- Workforce Development
- Benefits Administration
- Compliance Reporting
- Workers Comp
- Recruiting
- Policy and Procedures
- Investigations Practices
- Performance Management
- Union compliance
- Hands on project support with HRIS and LMS
- Interaction with Field Operations, IT, Safety, Environmental and Quality Control departments
Requirements:
- Must be going into your Junior or Senior year of school, pursuing a degree in Human Resources, or a closely related degree
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite of tools
- Strong work ethic & self-starter
- Organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to have FUN while working hard

WAGE & BENEFIT INFORMATION
The starting pay for this position is $17.00 per hour.The pay rate for returning Interns and those with specific industry relevant experience is $18.00 - $21.00 per hour.
Lakeside Industries, Inc. seasonal employees participate in state run Paid Sick, Medical and Family Leave programs and have access to our company sponsored Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Interns working beyond 90 days may have the option to enroll in the company 401k program.
