The Cone Health CORE Internship offers pre-doctoral candidates an opportunity to conduct research and analyses needed to identify opportunities that improve quality and cost of care for our patients and system. Cone Health offers opportunities to conduct research across diverse environments (ambulatory, acute, post-acute care and surgical specialties). The fellow is a member of the Enterprise Analytics Health Economics department (Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation). CORE’s mission is to identify opportunities to improve patient outcomes, care delivery and reduce cost of care.
This internship position is a time-limited, temporary position with a start date of June 3rd, 2024. The total number of hours that an intern can work during this timeframe is 250 hours.
Interns hired for the summer cohort will be enrolled in Campus Greensboro’s Summer Fellows Program. This is an in person, professional development training program sponsored by Cone Health. Some hours of program participation will be paid.

EDUCATION:Actively enrolled in 2nd year or greater as a pre-doctoral candidate in a program with a Health Economics or related focus.
EXPERIENCE:
- Knowledge of healthcare terminology and clinical practice in ambulatory, acute or other healthcare delivery venue
- Advanced econometric/statistical skills
- SAS/STATA/R statistical programming knowledge
- SQL
