Job Description
The Marketing research intern will learn foundational market research skills, including production ofhigh-quality geographic and demographic materials for marketing purposes, and assist with large research projects as needed. Will hone Geographic Information Systems (GIS) skills to assist in providing decision-making resources in support of Leasing team. This will include tools to facilitate deal making, as well as providing research solutions to meet business objectives for other internal departments.
General Responsibilities
- Assists marketing staff with requests for research information to facilitate business development opportunities, client support and internal analysis.
- Produce a variety of geographic support materials needed (maps, aerials, traffic counts, demographics, expenditure reports, etc.) for creation of sales brochures.
- Assist with analysis, research, and implementation of mapping tools, templates, standards, and software to create a foundational knowledge base in market research techniques.
- Assist with additional research projects as directed by Vice President of Research.
Requirements
- Completed Bachelor’s degree in geography, urban planning, business, or related field
- Command of Microsoft Office Suite and a desktop GIS solution (MapInfo, ESRI suite, etc.)
- Knowledge of GIS terms and definitions and analytical research methods required
- High-level analytical skills and problem-solving ability
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to meet goals and objectives
- Ability to multi-task, succeed under pressure and effectively manage time and workload
- Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills and effective collaborative working style
