Intern - Facility Engineer

Overview

GD-OTS is looking for an Intern-Facility Engineer to join our Lincoln, NE organization.  We are expanding rapidly and looking for motivated and creative individuals who want to help support and shape this organization as we grow. This is a Year-Round Internship located on-site at our facility in Lincoln, NE.

 

GD-OTS provides reliable and affordable composite products to the defense and commercial aerospace markets. With more than 50 years of expertise, General Dynamics designs, develops, manufactures and tests a full range of composite missile and space structures, including; rocket motors, pressure vessels, launch tubes and fuel tanks.

Major Position Responsibilities

Support the Facilities Manager for the following tasks and projects:

• Assist with management of Maintenance Management software
• Equipment status monitoring project
• Digitizing Facility drawings and updating CAD drawings to match current state
• Facility Update Projects - obtaining quotes, managing projects and summarizing project costs
• Escorting contractors
• Organizing and updating maintenance spares inventory
• Obtaining budgetary costs for capital planning

Basic Qualifications

Completed a minimum of 2 years in an Engineering discipline, working towards a BS in Mechanical Engineering.This is a Year-Round Internship located on-site at our facility in Lincoln, NE.
