THE OPPORTUNITY:
Sephora Internships provide an inclusive and comprehensive experience that equips young professionals with the tools needed to align their passions with work. The 10-week internship program develops early career professionals by providing interns with hands-on learning, personal and professional networking opportunities, and the ability to work on projects that directly impact the business.
The Sephora internship program is also a prerequisite for consideration for LEAP, the cross-functional rotational program that provides on-the-job training in each of three Business Units-Supply Chain, Marketing, and Merchandising, over the course of nine months. LEAP prepares successfully performing trainees for a full-time, entry-level role in one of the three Business Units. Interns are invited to apply to LEAP at the beginning of the summer internship.
PROGRAM DETAILS:
An inclusive and engaging experience that develops technical and professional skills through weekly virtual workshops, networking opportunities, and career panels that provide exposure to Sephora's career growth opportunities.
2024 PROGRAM DATES:
  • June 3 - August 16
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, PST
  • June 17 - 20: On-Site Week in San Francisco at headquarters office
  • July 1 - 5: Week off for vacation

POSITION TITLE: Business Optimization Summer Intern
YOUR ROLE AT SEPHORA...
As the Business Optimization Summer Intern, you will support key initiatives by identifying areas to optimize progress or performance, provide key observations and recommendations for change.
WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH:
  • Project Shift: Support All Store Rollout for Monthly Schedules by identifying key wins and challenges across stores as they implement this change in process. Based on observations, feedback and performance, provide recommendations to support a successful continuation of process; Ex. supporting documentation, key communications, training modules, etc.
  • Holiday 2024: Strategize a process for collecting, analyzing and implementing feedback across multiple channels- Field Support Center, Stores, Retail Leaders, etc. Review previous feedback collections and determine how the approach should shift. Support the Holiday Workstream Leads by introducing strategy and secure alignment prior to implementing.
  • Foundational Training: Review key changes to our Onboarding program in stores. Evaluate which aspects are being successfully implemented, as well as identify where friction is occurring. Use observations and store feedback to provide recommendations to the program owners and continue to monitor.
  • Review portfolios of recent feedback collected from stores and identify 1-2 programs or processes to review for optimization. Create an overview to support your case and present it to the Business Optimization for alignment. From Discovery to Recommendations, build and present a full review of your topic to identified Business Partners.
  • Provide insight and POV during all attended meetings; be available to Consult as needed across the Business Optimization team and additional stakeholders across the organization.

  • Decision Quality: Keen assessment skills and ability to identify solutions, based on analyzation
  • Manage and Measure Work: Strong attention to detail, while working on multiple projects or tasks simultaneously
  • Client Focus: Prioritizes internal and external clients when making business decisions

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Graduating in 2024 or 2025 (undergraduate or graduate degree)
  • Remote & hybrid program - work schedule must align with Pacific Standard Time
  • Must permanently reside and work in the U.S.
  • Must be open to relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area upon graduation for consideration for full-time hybrid positions *
  • Available for the 1-week On-Site office experience in San Francisco, CA

The target hourly pay for this position is $23.00 - $23.00 per hour. The actual hourly pay offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the individual applicant's qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.
