Your Role:
As an Analytical Development, Viral Vector Intern at Avid Bioservices, you will engage in a detailed exploration and evaluation of various analytical techniques to characterize Viral Vectors. You will be guided through the process of creating a comprehensive study plan, drafting the necessary documentation, conducting the study, collecting, and analyzing data, and finally, compiling your findings into a detailed report or presentation. The selection of assays will be tailored to fit your academic and professional background, ensuring a meaningful and enriching experience throughout the duration of the internship.
We are delighted to present a 10-week paid internship at our facility in Costa Mesa, CA. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position that promises to enrich your experience and expand your professional network within the biotechnology industry.
Minimum Qualifications:

- Availability to work full-time for the duration of the internship at our Costa Mesa, CA facility.
- Authorization to work in the country where the internship is located.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Biology, chemistry, biotechnology, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of laboratory testing approaches

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This role is a full-time position operating Monday through Friday, 5x8 (5 days x 8 hours) schedule.

- Summer Project: Personalized project plan, complete with a pre-determined roadmap and week by week milestones that the intern will need to meet, ensuring clear expectations and measurable outcomes.
- Mentorship: Your manager and team will provide training, mentorship, and development opportunities.
- Weekly Check-ins and 1:1s: Conduct both on a weekly basis to ensure clear communication and support for our interns.
- Performance Assessments: Conduct mid and end of summer performance assessments to be provided with constructive criticism and feed forward to help you grow and succeed.
- State of the Art Facility: You'll be working amongst the brightest minds in our world class facilities
- Internship Experiences: Intern Open House, Summer Leadership Series, Lunch & Learns, Intern Night Out, Site Tours of Mammalian and Viral Vectors Facilities, End of Summer Presentation
Compensation:
The compensation for this role is $25.00 per hour.
