Intermediate / Senior Water Resources Engineer

We are currently looking for an Intermediate / Senior Water Resources Engineer to join our team. The qualified individual will have a positive attitude with an interest in learning, and flexibility to work with a range of individuals.
The Intermediate / Senior Water Resources Engineer will provide services to the Water Practice. The successful candidate will have approximately 10 years of experience in Water Resources and strong interpersonal, management and leadership skills. The successful candidate will be organized, detail oriented and good at multi-tasking to support the successful completion of a variety of different work assignments. The ideal candidate must have Water Resources experience with for the mining and refining/chemical sectors. The ideal candidate should also have a board range of experience in Water Resources within the municipal and environmental sectors, project management and must be able to provide direction and mentorship to junior staff.
This is a full-time role with opportunity to work out of several Worley offices across North America depending on your location. As our ideal candidate for this dynamic and challenging role, your responsibilities will consist of the following tasks:
Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
• Grow the water business by developing and implementing Business Development plans defined by the Surface Water Director of North America;
• Keeping abreast of local industrial/commercial/community business activities, plans and future developments;
• Foster and manage effective relationships with existing and prospective local clients;
• Focus on delivering excellence, meeting and exceeding client expectations and selling the broader service offerings of Worley;
• Technically proficient in Water Resources Management and various surface water modeling platforms with a comprehensive background in Civil Engineering;
• Delivery of local projects in accordance with sound Project Management principles (i.e., maintain project quality, schedule and budget); and
• Travel as required to foster development of the discipline across geographies.
• Focus on expansion and integration of services across the sectors where we operate through collaboration with Sector leads.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an accredited engineering curriculum;
• 10 years of experience in the consulting/engineering industry;
• Solid understanding of business development plans to deliver surface water services with a proven track record of leading/delivering on water sales targets;
• Experience as a Project Manager; Specific water management expertise in the Mining, Municipal Sector, and / or Refining Sector.
• Registered or suitable to become registered as a Professional Engineer within your respective geography
• Member of Professional and Technical Societies;
• A high level of business acumen, business development and customer focus;
• Understands current water trends/technologies;
• Strong leadership skills with a passion for building/growing businesses, entrepreneurial and pro-active;
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to review and edit reports, documentation and other client deliverables;
• Demonstrable commitment to HSE management; and
• Working knowledge of industry standard business support systems i.e. project planning packages, cost management systems, ISO9001 quality management systems;
