The GTS Area of Kleinfelder is looking for a Interim Engineering Supervisor to join our Columbus, OH and Denver, CO office. Under supervision and with latitude for independent action or decision, the Engineering Supervisor will act as an agent of the company and be responsible for the programs and work environment promoting; safety, development, and the success of their teams. The Engineering Supervisor must plan effectively, organize staff, delegate tasks, assign responsibility and monitor employee development. The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for their team accomplishing assigned work within cost, scope and schedule. The Engineering Supervisor is expected to model exemplary behavior and to lead employees by setting an example consistent with the Kleinfelder values. The Engineering Supervisor may be required to perform activities such as contract development and reporting of technical data and performance of other related duties.

Consideration for an Engineering Supervisor position requires the following certifications or experience:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering
• 2-3+ years' Experience (desired)
• Working knowledge of CAD and GIS software (desired)
• Proven ability to lead and train others
• Proficient use of MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Project
• Technical Report writing
• Project Management Principals and Application (Cost, Scope and Schedule)

As an Engineering Supervisor within Kleinfelder, you will be expected to:

• Support the team as a mentor and industry expert
• Meet required deadlines and exceed client expectations
• Find ways to continually improve upon the quality of work
• Encourage the sharing of ideas, and maintain an open-mind to change
• Maintain a training plan and developmental goals for the team
• Recruit, hire, train, mentor and develop employees; assign, direct, evaluate work performance and provide coaching for continued growth in performance
• Ensure your personal safety and support the teams safety
• Emphasizes team performance over individual performance
• Deals with problems, conflict or difficult issues in a timely manner and within established KLF and Kleinfelder policies.
• Understands Kleinfelder's substance abuse policy and, the warning signs of abuse.
• Prevents all forms of discrimination in the workplace including physical or verbal harassment.
• Knowledgeable of Kleinfelder's Delegation of Authority and its effect on decision making abilities
