We are currently seeking an Interconnection & Utilities Services Specialist for our Pre-Construction division that will support work within the United States.
What you’ll do:

• Responsible for handling several different work streams for customers and projects to reach key milestones through construction.
• Responsible for day-to-day follow-up and communication with the different utilities or other regulating organizations to ensure process completion in a timely manner.
• Complete interconnection applications and supporting documentation for all projects.
• Determine and process the correct paperwork per product, utility, or other regulating organizations.
• Coordinate budgeting and scheduling for interconnection related activities.
• Liaison with Commercial and Sales Operations teams for technical data gatherings to prepare the application packages.
• Perform electrical analysis on transmission systems to identify capacity for potential projects and handling necessary transmission & interconnection processes of utilities and ISO’s.
• Responsible for daily input of appropriate notes for all utility tasks, manage project status updates, and generate necessary reports to complete assignments.
• Evaluate transmission and interconnection tariffs, costs, timelines, queue, and processes for a variety of markets and provide strategy to the cross-functional Development and Commercial Teams.
• Handle interconnection tariff related administrative responsibilities and necessary paperwork to support Sales Operations and Commercial teams.
• Provide communication and build relationships with utilities/ISOs and track interconnection progress to ensure projects are complete in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Analyze the transmission and distribution grids in target regions, review and understanding of power flow studies, expected grid modifications and other market data to identify desirable points of interconnection (POIs).
• Provide technical support and coordination to Project Managers throughout the build of projects.
• Create regular project interconnection status reports and monitor engineering milestones.
• Support clients by providing input to clients with regards to interconnection processes.
• Contribute innovative ideas to enhance interconnection and quality in practices utilized by the BayWa development department.

What you’ll bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related-field preferred.
• Four (4) years of transmission and interconnection planning experience on renewable projects.
• Must have the ability to prepare complex proposals with minimal supervision
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
• Demonstrated organization and analytical skills and the ability to diagnose and analyze problems and drive appropriate solutions.
• Ability to handle multiple projects in an organized and accurate manner
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen

Salary range:  $85,000.00 per year based on experience
