Intellectual Property Paralegal

Job responsibilities

• Assisting with patent and trademark submissions to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
• Analyzing and processing communications related to U.S. and foreign patent and trademark matters and any other related correspondence
• Monitoring USPTO accounts on a daily basis
• Emailing USPTO actions to clients and reporting deadlines
• Preparing letters to be sent to clients
• Communicating with foreign associates about patent and trademark matters
• Assisting attorneys with general work flow management

Experience

• At least 2 years previous experience as an Intellectual Property assistant or paralegal is required.
• Proficient in transcribing legal documents and correspondence
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Experience in project management and ability to meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills

Pay range is between $60,000 and $80,000 per year depending on the experience and skillset of the candidate.
