Title: Intake Worker
Position: Full-time Temporary Temp Worker
Department: Center for Family Life Community Service Program
Reports to: Program Director and Tax Lead Tax Preparer SETP
Primary Function
To connect filers with dependents to the agency's household support services as well as follow up with interested filers to track and report connections. Handling case assignments, reviewing case progress, and reporting on connected cases.
The Intake Worker performs the initial screening of all clients to determine the assistance needed and ensure that the client has all documentation needed to ensure if the client may be eligible for other benefits such as Food Stamps and others.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Greet clients to create a pleasant atmosphere.
• Assist in other administrative duties, including meeting program goals and making phone calls.
• Data Entry on Excel spreadsheets/Create phone log
• Identify and determine if clients are eligible to receive our services
• Have clients sign the Check-in log.
• Provide the client with the Intake Sheet to complete and assist the client if needed.
• Perform the screening process:
• Determine the type of assistance needed by the client and direct clients to other services provided at the site according to the client need
• Monitor Site customer traffic and coordinate with the Intake Coordinator to ensure that there is sufficient time to serve the client
• Set up client's folders
• Maintain the confidentiality of the client information
• Provide general assistance to clients

Qualifications

• Good writing and communication skills
• Must be Bilingual (Spanish/English)
• Knowledge of taxes and public benefits eligibility preferred.
• Must be comfortable working with a diverse population.
• Knowledge of foreign languages a plus
• Friendly, dependable, and flexible.
• Ability to complete tasks completely and accurately.
• Must complete brief training.

This is a full-time [35 hours per week] temporary position during the 2024 tax season, from January through April.
Salary - $18. 00 per hour
