Intake Caseworker – Human Services (Non-Traditional Schedule / Pa Residency Required)

Liberty Healthcare is now hiring for a full-time “Intake Caseworker” position.

While residency in Pennsylvania is a firm requirement, this is a full-time virtual position which will allow you to work virtually from your home office & commute into our Harrisburg office a couple times per year.

Because this program's phone line and intake operations are open 24 hours / day, 7 days / week, 365 days / year, this position adheres to a "Flex Schedule" – covering a 16-hour shift on Saturday or Sunday (your choice) & 3 additional 8-hour daytime shifts during the week.

As an Intake Caseworker with Liberty Healthcare, you will process incoming information from concerned individuals who are reporting allegations of abuse, neglect, exploitation or abandonment of adults of adults who have intellectual, mental and physical disabilities - under Pennsylvania’s Adult Protective Services (APS) Act 70.

You will query databases, classify allegations according to acuity, triage cases to team members for investigation and complete procedural documentation.

You can expect to be paid $18.26 per hour (approximately $38,000 annually) and receive comprehensive benefits – including 30 days annual paid time off, health, dental and vision options.

This position will allow you will obtain resume-building health and human services experience, while being key contributor in a system which helps protect vulnerable individuals.

You’re a good fit for this position if you possess the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice or related health or human service field preferred

• High proficiency with computers and working within databases

• Willingness to work a variable schedule which will include evenings and weekends

• Residency in Pennsylvania

Relevant work experience may serve as a substitute for a college degree. Professional experience in social services, healthcare, human services, protective services, investigations or law enforcement is preferred – as is familiarity with SAMs, HCSIS, EIM, CIS or eCIS. Those who have experience as an EMS dispatcher, 911 operator or emergency services intake and triage specialist are encouraged to apply.
