Internship Overview:
The Property & Casualty (P&C) Internship offers comprehensive experience in insurance sales, encompassing the entire sales process. Interns will be fully integrated into our P&C team, working closely with sales leaders and service team members to support essential tasks for securing and retaining business. While the focus is on P&C insurance, the internship will also provide exposure to various other aspects of insurance, including group benefits, individual benefits, 401k plans, personal lines, claims, and more. Additionally, interns will have the opportunity to engage with senior leadership, attending meetings and sales opportunities. Apart from the workload, the internship promises a blend of work and fun, featuring events such as an ice cream socials, company outings, intern activities, and educational lunch-and-learns with strategic partners.
Key Responsibilities:
As part of the internship experience, interns will be matched with sales leaders within the organization who will serve as mentors. These mentors will provide valuable insights into building a successful book of business and guide interns in working directly on accounts from inception to completion, encompassing tasks such as obtaining quotes and compiling risk information. This mentorship program provides an excellent opportunity for interns to network, learn, and grow within the industry.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with new business marketing and renewal submissions by:
- Attending client meetings to present proposals
- Preparing applications
- Analyzing claims experience
- Delivering insurance documents to clients
- Maintaining records in the agency management system
- Executing billing and invoicing tasks
- Collaborate with the sales team to prepare presentation materials for clients
- Support the migration of client data onto a self-servicing portal
- Obtain and analyze motor vehicle reports (MVRs)
- Analyze flood risk using flood zone determination reports
- Audit endorsements and insurance policies to maintain accuracy
