Job Description
Our Insurance Sales reps work for qualified mentor agents around Michigan to learn and sell our product portfolio, ways to market, and run an insurance agency. We ongoing training and support on their path to success so they can best serve the Farmers customers.
Candidates will generate new business by contacting potential customers. You will sell, solicit, differentiate and negotiate insurance plans that match the needs of your assigned or prospective customers portfolio.

Responsibilities
- Develop marketing strategies and promote all types of new insurance contracts
- Create a pool of prospective clients from various sources by networking, cold calling, using referrals, etc.
- Evaluate business or individual customers needs and financial status and propose protection plans that meet their criteria
- Work with clients to deliver risk management strategies that fit their risk profiles
- Report the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to stakeholders
- Achieve customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives
- Stay current with new products and relative industry information
Requirements
- Michigan Property & Casualty Insurance license is required.
- Michigan Life and Health Insurance license is required.
- Experience working with insurance or in an insurance agents office is a plus
- Familiarity with any types of insurance plans (automobile, fire, life, property, medical, etc.) is a plus
