Responsibilities:- Call, email, and meet with applicants to collect and assess insurance information that will guide the risk assessment process and provides underwriting support
- Compile data and analytics for reports that can advise insurance policy guidelines and whether coverage should be provided
- Verify that all identification, financial, and policy records remain accurate and complete within underwriting software programs to facilitate relevant policy recommendations to existing and prospective and existing
- Document and communicate policy approvals or rejections to the underwriting team, insurance agents, supervisors, and clients in a timely manner
- Assume the role of communications liaison between underwriters and customers in order to track, manage, and prioritize insurance services
- Review both new and renewal policies for accuracy
- Review changes to client policies for accuracy
- Willingness to pursue designation as a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU)
- Working as an administrative assistant or similar, or a role in the insurance industry is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, statistics, mathematics, business administration, or related field required
- Must be detail-oriented to collect and maintain accurate client records
- Stellar communications and interpersonal skills
