D Gates Insurance Group is an independent Florida agency that has operated in Cape Coral for 11 years, and we are looking to expand our team! Our mission is to provide superior, personal service to every client! We service the state of Florida for all personal and commercial lines of insurance. As an independent agency, we strive to find the best coverage at the best price to match our clients' needs. We believe in educating our clients so they understand what they are insuring and the process of how it works.
Job description: (40 hours per work week, no remote work)
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with clients to understand individual insurance needs and provide appropriate solutions
- Analyze clients' current insurance policies and suggest necessary changes or additions
- Educate clients about different insurance options and help them make informed decisions
- Sell various types of insurance policies. (We are not limited to just auto and home insurance, but also offer umbrella policies, boat insurance, motorcycle insurance, and much more.)
- Effectively communicate the features and benefits of insurance products
- Provide excellent customer service by promptly responding to inquiries and resolving issues to build long-lasting relationships with clients
- Process policy applications, endorsements, and renewals accurately and efficiently
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in insurance regulations
- Meet sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the agency
Skills:
- Previous experience in insurance sales is preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Fluency in Spanish and/or other languages is a plus (multilingual)
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of client confidentiality
- Strong analytical skills to assess clients' insurance needs accurately
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work
Experience:
- Licensed 2-20 (will consider a licensed 4-40 if it's the right fit)
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the insurance industry
- Strong sales administration skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
Job Benefits:
Full-time employees, after 90 days of employment, are eligible for Company Benefits including holiday pay, vacation days, personal time off, health insurance, and 401(k)
· Nine scheduled paid holiday and one floating holiday
· Two weeks paid vacation per year
· Personal time accrual at 3 hours per month and increasing based on length of employment
· 401(k) retirement plan with a 3% safe harbor employment contribution
· Heath, vision, and dental insurance plans available, and $300.00 per month employer contribution toward premiums
