We are looking for talented professionals to join our global Captive Solutions team; a specialty unit of Marsh comprised of over 500 colleagues responsible for building and managing more than 1,900 insurance companies from more than 40 domiciles.
What you can expect:
Our Account Managers are responsible for accounting, regulatory compliance, project management and some administrative functions for a portfolio of approximately 7-12 captive insurance company clients, determined based on the size and complexity of the captive insurers assigned. Because the insurers we manage are primarily owned by their policyholders - most often medium and large entities - they are considered "captive" insurers in the industry.

We will count on you to:

• Coordination of the annual audit which includes drafting the audited financial statements.
• Coordination of the annual actuarial study.
• Reconciling cash and investment accounts
• Monitoring accuracy of cash disbursements and receipts.
• Review and issuance of financial statements in an accurate and timely manner.
• Coordination of claims activity to include: Review of claims data submitted for payment; confirmation of the accuracy and validity of the claims for coverage under the captive policies and assurance the captive does not exceed its retentions
• Coordination of policy issuance: Obtain and review or prepare policy documentation to ensure program is accurately documented.
• Working with program brokers to obtaining documentation for reinsurance programs and ensure accuracy.

What you need to have:

• Demonstrated completion of core college-level accounting courses: Accounting I, Accounting II, Intermediate Accounting I, Intermediate Accounting II (or equivalent)
• At least one year experience in an office environment preparing financial statements

What makes you stand out:

• Bachelor's Degree with a major in Accounting or Finance
• Demonstrated completion of core college-level accounting courses: Accounting I, Accounting II, Intermediate Accounting I, Intermediate Accounting II, Auditing, Federal Taxes I, Federal Taxes II, and Auditing (or equivalent)
• At least one year working in an office environment preparing financial statements
• Insurance industry experience
