We're looking for an Instrumentation and Controls Tech Specialist in Boise, Idaho who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our client's business. Join us and you'll have the chance to work on projects including state-of-the-art industrial and commercial facilities.

Working with other members of our team of Jacobs and client staff, You will be accountable for the schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client's expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. You will design facility systems to accommodate the installation of new semiconductor manufacturing tools, and in support of new construction and retrofit projects. You will also engage with clients and subcontractors as you participate in regular field walks and project meetings, develop I&C drawings, and construction specifications, specify instruments, and write sequences of operations. You will produce designs for industrial production facilities, cooling and utility plants, semiconductor tool installations, HVAC, process, and piping systems. You will be responsible for producing process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), control panel drawings and wiring diagrams, and producing buildable AutoCAD drawings for project installations. The typical salary range for this position is $60K to $140k and is commensurate with experience relative to the position.

Here's What You'll Need:

+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED

+ At least 2 Years of experience working with Instrumentation and Control

+ Designing control panels

+ SQL Programming

Ideally, you'll have:

+ Ideally, you will also have:? Working knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers), DCS (DISTRIBUTED CONTROL SYSTEM), and other controls applications preferred

+ Engineer in Training (EIT)

+ Effective communication skills both verbal and written?

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills??

+ Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas?

+ Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden your knowledge base?

+ Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams?

+ Passion for buildings and construction?
